Invisible Trash

I believe that in America, it is a social norm to show cleanliness which in turn makes the disposal of waste a priority. The display of garbage in modernized countries presents an image of poverty and a sign of endangerment. The populations of the lower class citizens of New York can be personified by their poverty with the unkept streets of the Bronx, Harlem, and the general inner city area, versus the wealthier upperclass of upper Manhattan's well primped districs.
Going along with the phrase "out of sight, out of mind" people would be more uncomfortable seeing huge mounds of trash in a landfill and then be reminded of how much waste humans use everyday. When the land fills are out of sight and out of mind, less tension is caused.
The article, The Believer, looks over why we make garbage invisible. Anthropologists and Pshchologists wonder why we invisibilize something that is present all day, every day. People are still asking questions about how we can totally ignore trash and make it invisible. I believe we will always have questions about our humanness of ignoring garbage.

Sustainability

Whats up everyone. After thinking for awhile about which sustainability topic i should write about, i started thinking about what affects issues locally, and me personally. I am majoring in Wildlife Biology, so i figured i could find a sustainability topic in that area. I came up with the idea of wolf hunting seasons and how the population of wolves were going to be and if they are going to be sustainable when hunted.
I figured i would keep the wolf information more locally and how it would affect us in Montana. Although there is more information about wolf hunting, where it is actually legal, as in Canada, I believe it would be an enjoyable and very informative paper for our class.

Yum

Some of us love it, some of us hate it. Im talking about Chinese food. For me, I cant live without it. The taste is delicious, having most people craving more. According to streetdictionary.com, China is one of the most popular food types in the world. There are a variety of meats, such as chicken or pork, as well as vegetables in most Chinese foods. Chinese foods can be very unhealthy, but when authentic, very worth while. Most Chinese foods have 500 calories, according to livestrong.com.
In my own experiences with Chinese food, i can say i LOVE it. I dont really know why or how i started liking Chinese, but i can tell you the taste changed my life. Well, not really, other then being my favorite food of all time. I would love to go to China and try their most delicate foods, ones that the normal public doesnt really know about. I wonder if I tried some random Chinese families ancient secret recipe i would still like China's food or not.
I would recommend  Chinese Food to anyone who would like an amazing delicious lunch or dinner. Chinese Food might change your life, like mine, for the better. Chinese will always be my food choice and "go to" food when i dont know what to eat. In fact, Im going to go eat some Chinese right now in the UC.

the first blog

Hey everyone. My name is Robbie Larson. I was born in Helena, but grew up in Choteau, Montana. I love to go hunting and fishing, as well as play sports. I played basketball and golf in high school, but grew up wrestling, running track, and pitching for my baseball team. I have one older brother named Brett. He is going to be a junior in college here on campus.

I used to read alot when i was younger, but not so much now. I read lots of chapter books like Harry Potter. They were fun to read and interesting, not like the first chapter of WRIT101. Its hard to read books for school, so I dont read them ha.  My mind starts trailing off about some random thing and I lose focus on what I was reading. I occasionally read a chapter book, but only when Im really bored.
